The Defence of Australia research series, conducted by The Institute of Public Affairs in partnership with Strategic Analysis Australia, could not come at a more important time for Australia and the debate about our nation's secutity. While Australia's defence establishment flounders with far off, expensive and technologically challenging projects, this series delivers a comprehensive blueprint for the enext federal government to rapidly build an Australian Defence Force that meets our strategic requirements. For too long, debate about the defence of Northern Australia, reforms to Defence procurement, the state of our domestic defence industry, and addressing the ADF's recruitment crisis have been put in the too hard basket. Not anymore.
